Niall Staines is a digital artist based in Dublin. Nature is a consistent theme in his practice, often turning serene landscapes into surreal dreamscapes, pulling waves downwards as if the lines were a solid cross section across the earth.

Staines’ series of glitches takes familiar seascapes and stretching them into abnormality. The effects are at once calming and deeply unsettling as the eye is drawn into a vertigo-like cascade.

Beyond personal series, Staines has worked with McDonald’s, Jameson, Cadbury and TG4. He’s won awards from Cannes, Kinsale Sharks, ICAD and ADFX.
